RESEARCH RECORD

A backpack of learned skills.

In Minecraft, Voyager generated code, used execution feedback to revise it, and stored successful skills in a growing library. Researchers also tested reuse in a new world. Its accumulated skill code mattered alongside the language model: useful history did not have to live inside model weights. This is a research result, not a promise that any agent can move between environments unchanged.

A portable agent may need its skill library as much as its prompt.
